I am pleased to announce that the annual Student Representative Committee/University Student Faculty Committee (SRC/USFC) elections will take place on Friday November 27, 2015. AUB student elections are a fine demonstration and model in Lebanon and the region of competitive yet peaceful democratic expression and this is a feature that we are all proud of and eager to maintain in the context of the difficult events surrounding us. In line with the reforms we have introduced to make the process more efficient nominations can now be made electronically based on the successful example of last year. SRC seat distribution is unaltered. The number of allocated USFC seats per faculty is in compliance with the 2010 bylaws divisions. Please check below your faculty’s USFC breakdown.
– FAS – 5 USFC seats are allocated to be divided among Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate students. Each year to elect one USFC representative.
– FAFS – 2 USFC seats are allocated.
– FEA – 3 USFC seats are allocated.
– FHS – 2 USFC seats are allocated, 1 Graduate 1 Undergraduate.
– FM and HSON – 2 USFC seats are allocated, 1 for Medical students and 1 for Nursing students.
– OSB – 3 USFC seats are allocated.
Candidates who wish to nominate themselves for USFC must explicitly indicate this on the form. [cut]
Kindly note that nominations for SRC/USFC will be open and the electronic link will be activated as of 9am Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015. Nominations will close on Wednesday November 18 at 4.30pm. Nominations can only be made electronically by clicking on this link: http://preelections.aub.edu.lb.
Please make sure you follow the necessary steps to complete the process. The link provided above will only work via the AUB network and for security reasons you must be present on campus to nominate yourself. If you have not received an official confirmation to your AUB email your candidacy will not be considered as eligible. If you encounter any technical error you must contact the office of student affairs on this email: sao@aub.edu.lb immediately so that the error may be logged.
